Re: Light Leaks (was [KOML] Test?)

Hi all --

Thanks for the advice. The camera arrived today, and it looks from a
visual check that the only "felts" that might need to be replaced are
around the lens mount, the others look fine to me. Of course, time
will tell. I put a roll of B&W through it today, and will develop
tonight. The only other thing that doesn't appear to work too well is
the interlock that's supposed to keep you from taking pictures with
the dark slide in. The rangefinder appears to be right on when I
check it with a tape measure.

Does anyone have experience replacing felts? I've been told that
wetsuit neoprene (and mouse pads) make good light trap felts. Is that
too easy to be true? I'm a ways away from any repair shop, so if it
is easy I would be willing to tackle it myself.

Now that I have it, does anyone have any helpful operating hints?
(other than the obvious "shoot lots of film")

What's the safe bottom limit for shutter speed when handheld?

     Thanks again -

     Michael

and locations of felts etc etc.<

Clive,

I had mine done under the store waranty that came with my camera when
I bought it. They replaced the felt that seals the two pieces of the
film back/magazine. There is also felt around where the front part of
     the film ...etc
