Jim,

On my camera (Koni-Omega Rapid M)  the seal between the body and the
magazine is the same felt material that seals everything else.  Just wider
than in other applications.  Perhaps that was a modification made somewhere
along the way before I owned the camera.  I don't know what to tell you
about the dark slide seal.  I have two backs/magazines and neither has a
problem in this area.
