[KOML] KOML "sealing light leaks"
Jlaird asked about re-sealing.
Regarding the replacment of foam light sealing material
by the magazine mount and the lens mount: I got some
from Lee Chase who operates a camera repair shop at
1668 Willamette, Eugene, Ore (541-344-9700)
The old stuff tends to flake away or become gummy.
I just scraped away the residue and pressed the new
stuff in place. It has a gummed backing that is exposed when its protective cover
is removed.
I love the "look" of the photographs I get with my
Rapid "M"...
I've got the 60mm, 90mm, and the 180mm lenses plus
an AUTO-up #2. Too bad the 180mm doesn't work closer than 12 feet! I have a Nikon
28-85mm AF LENS; I wish I could use my KONI-OMEGA to do those tight head shots at
3 and 4 feet as I do with my 8008. [Now if I can just do enough pictures for money
with the K-O, it should
earn me one of those bellows-focusing RB's or RZ's]
I am having a good time creating images with my KONI-
Omega.
