RE: [KOML] Question on KO

Jim,

I've found the same problem on eBay. I just bought a KO Rapid M w/90
Hexanon, 120 back, a 180mm Hexanon, and an extra magazine with 220 back. I
ended up buying them all from dealers or individuals outside of ebay,
because I couldn't be sure of the quality for the money that way. My
equipment looks quite good, very usable, because I was somewhat picky about
making sure that it worked well (I don't really care how it looks).

I have only shot one roll of film so far (with the 120 back), and I am very
happy with the quality of prints, but the spacing was quite bad. I only got
9 good shots, because the spacing between shots went from none to about 3/4
of an inch between the begining and end of the roll. I wonder if this is a
fluke (film creeping up on one side of take up reel) or if it is a common
problem. The person who sold it to me said it had just come back from Greg
Weber, so I didn't expect to see this kind of problem.

Hi Peter,
Thank you very much for your answer. Yes I know
they are on the heavy side, so are the Rollies,XL's and
a couple MF's I've have in past years. However, I
don't figure to drag this around as much as I do the
35's I use.
Been checking E-bay for a while. In the early
years it was a great place to find stuff, I could buy
Exaktas at a price that I could afford to restore and
sell at a reasonable profit. Not today though. Too
many people getting caught up in the spirit of bidding.
Will probably buy the one I asked about from
Brooklyn Camera Exchange, but have some reservations
about not being able to return it should it prove to be
a dog.
    Thanks again
