Re: [KOML] Goodbye KO, Hello Rolleiflex

It is too late for me to rethink my position. The Rolleiflex arrived today.
That is the good news.

I think the seller on eBay exagerated a little about the condition. I beat
out another bidder by $.50. Both lenses have little spots. The spots on
the viewing lens are large than the image (excuse me if I get the terms
wrong) lens. It appears these spots are between elements. The finder glass
is filthy. Now that I have spread the bad news, where do I send it for
restoration? Any suggestions on how to clean the exterior

I use three camera formats: Nikon FE2, Rolleiflex (hopefully) and a Sinar
A1. Most of my Hollywood Glamour-style portraits will be taken with the
Sinar (4x5), which has a restored Ektar 203mm 7.7 lens. I plan to do mostly
full body and never more than head-and-shoulder shoots using the Rolleiflex.
A friend of mine uses a Wisner 8x10 and a Rolleiflex 2.8C, which is how I
got hooked on LF and this particular MF camera, My idea camera would
probably be a Rollei 6000 series or Mamiya RB67, but photography is just a
hobby for me. Thus, lens cost is always a factor.
