Nice choice, Carl. I hope you'll keep us posted on how you like the Ektar. I
use Ektars in 35 mm and in MF (101 mm f/4.5 for a 2x3 miniature Graphic) and
they have wonderful character especially for people work. I hope your
experience is as good as mine has been...

You may want to ship your 2.8 C off to Harry Fleenor for a c/l/a. He's kind
of a rollei guru and has done several rolleis for me. I can give you his
contact info if you'd like. It'll be money well spent, because your camera
will be reliable for a looooong time after he's through with it.

The 2.8 C is IMO the greatest value in classic MF. The camera is wonderfully
compact, reliable and a fast user, the the glass is superb... this from a
camera you can still purchase for $300 or less. I have a couple of old MF
projectors and I regularly wow my Hassy friends with the image quality my 44
year old 2.8 C produces at great magnification. I also use mine for MF
stereo photography which can produce some truly astounding results!

I think you will find the 80mm Planar/Xenotar to be excellent for the same
kind of situational portraits you are planning for the Sinar... give it a
try sometime and let us know what you think.

Congrats on your new camera!
