Update.  The seller of the Rolleiflex 2.8C will be getting his camera back.
Funny thing, though, he asked me "If you did not want a 45 year old camera,
why did you bid on one?"  I would expect to send a camera this old for CLA,
but not lens restoration.  The cost was estimated by Marflex to be $300.  He
probably should not have reminded me the camera is 45-years old. :o)

Why I gave up.  I often photographed subjects against paper backgrounds.  I
found it difficult to properly frame the image in the viewfinder - I always
could see the edge of the paper roll and the wall.  It is the complete
opposite of what I encounter when I use my Nikon because teh viewfinder
gives you a slightly larger frame.  Another issue I had was focusing in the
dark (outdoor shots were great!).  A larger viewfinder will help based on my
poor eyesight.

I am know trying to find a MF solution.
