RE: [KOML] Newbie seeks advice
Aric,
Find a clean body with a 90mm. As long as you don't need tight hea and
shoulders portraits you will not need anything else. The 90mm will work
well for full length portraits, or outdoor environmental portraits. Save
your money for a 58mm lens for the outdoor scenics. It will blow you away
with its resolution. You can save if you don't need to change film mid-roll
by opting for a Rapid Omega 100 as opposed to Koni-Omega M, or Rapid Omega
200. They typically sell for around $250 with the lens and back on ebay.
BTW, there is also the original Koni-Rapid which was the first (1965?) and
is a tad but smaller and also uses the same optics. Sometimes these sell for
less than the other and these models include the film magazine like the M or
200 that let's you can change film mid-roll.

Subject: [KOML] Newbie seeks advice
I am a MF newbie (don't have a setup yet, shot a C330 and loved it). I've
read raves about the Koni-Omega lenses, and how their quality to price ratio
is very high. Any recommendations on getting set up with a K-O? Any
recommendations re other budget MF setups? My primary interest is in nature
photography and some informal portraiture.
TIA,
Aric
